Adults Classes

If you’ve always wanted to learn to fly, or are looking for a fun new way to improve your fitness, circus classes are just the thing! We offer a range of aerial classes, as well as occasional handstands, hula hoops, acrobatics and more.

From one to one sessions through to large groups, our qualified trainers will have you doing things you never thought possible!

Aerial Taster

This is a short introductory session where you’ll give trapeze and silks a quick go if you’re not sure about our 6-week Intro to Aerial course yet.  A great place to ‘try before you buy’ and see what it feels like to get your feet off the floor.

Intro to Aerial

An introductory level class to get you airborne. All the basics of trapeze and silks will be covered over 6 weeks with a focus on fitness and fun. Completion of this course enables you to attend any of our aerial levels classes. Places are limited and available only on a block booking.

Social Circus Classes

Our Social Circus Class is perfect for adults who would like to take a deep dive into the wonderful world of circus. You’ll have a chance to master everything we offer at the Studio both on the ground, and in the roof! Skills may include tightwire, stilt walking, acro-balance, handstands, tumbling, juggling, diabolo aerial silk, aerial trapeze and much more!

Activities are always tailored to your ability, and skills are broken down into small steps so that you can gradually work on mastering them.  Whatever happens, it’ll be a LOT of fun!

Other classes and additional bookings

Most of our classes can be booked privately at a time that suits you, for just you, or a group. We offer corporate team building sessions, and birthday parties covering acro-balance, tight-wire walking, juggling and more, get in touch to discuss your individual needs.

Standing on your hands is not only incredibly cool, it’s also one of the most important foundation skills for all circus arts. Benefits you can expect from being upside down include improved posture, strength and stability, circulation and energy. We run occasional workshops for varying levels, keep an eye on our Facebook page and events for upcoming sessions.

We are proud to host Tasmania’s only swinging trapeze classes. Similar to flying trapeze, acrobatic tricks are performed on a weighted trapeze bar using the pendulum motion of the swing. Classes are 1:1 and can be booked at a time that suits you. Contact us for more information on how to get started.

Open Training

If you are an adult who has completed our Introduction to Aerials and is in one of our Thursday evening classes or a visiting circus professional, we would like to welcome you to use our space for a small fee. We have a session on Friday nights where one of our trainers will be available for supervised practise time.
